Legal Question in Administrative Law in Pennsylvania

termination

I was recently terminated from my job of two years without just cause or reason. In my two years of employment the company has always been one of documentation

and step disipline before termination. Last month another employee was fired . Thier was no reason givin for his termination it was a big secret by management .

last week i was called to the office

and terminated when i asked why i was told no reason. my termination is also a big secret. I got to thinking what did i and the other employee have in common. The only thing we have in common is that we both have children that are cronicly ill with type one diabeties.

I guess my question would be is it against the law to profile employees with children with disabilities and terminate them to save money on health insurance.

p.s. went on company website seems to be alot of recent

openings lately. worlds largest privately held company.

Re: termination

It is possible that you may have a claim for discrimination pursuant to the ADA. The law is in a state of flux with recent changes. It appears that the employer may be discriminating against you because of your disability or perceived of diabetes. I would certainly contact an a lawyer. There are specific timelimits and you must first file a claim with the EEOC or Pennsylvania Human Relations commission.
