Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Pennsylvania

political bumper sticker or tee shirt

Can I be sued if I create a bumper sticker bashing a presidential candidate? For example ''Stay out of the Bushes'' as Jesse Jackson was once quoted or ''Kerry is Scary''.

These are not what my bumper sticker will say, but represent the type of quote that I may use.

Re: political bumper sticker or tee shirt

What grounds would they use to sue you? How could they make a case that they were harmed?

As long as the bumper sticker isn't obscene its protected speech under the First Amendment to the US Constitution and under Article 1 of the Pennsylvania Constitution.
