Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Criminal Background Checks

19-year old person charged with 2 class 5 felonies. One charge dismissed, one charge lessened to misdemeanor. If misdemeanor not exponged, what will show up if potential employer runs a criminal background check? Should we have record exponged?
