Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

my son is to take lie detector test but no one else as far as we know . my son is over 18 . there was money stolen from a fire hall. no one in the fire hall thinks he stole it . i would like to know what his rights are . we called for legal aid but they wont do anything unless there is charges made

Talking to the police without a lawyer is not a good idea. He has the 5th amendment right to remain silent.

Talking with the police without an attorney is a very bad idea. Taking a lie detector test is a very bad idea. It doesn't matter if he is innocent or guilty--doing these things is a very bad idea.
