Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

My neighbor robbed us when we were out of town. Admitted to the theft upon interrogation. We were told we would be told when our next court date was. Problem is, local police never delivered the subpoena for us to appear in court. We got a call from the DA asking why we did not appear to which we replied we were never notified. What are our options here if the case is not handled correctly and to our satisfaction due to the mistakes of the local police, DA?

If the case was dismissed at the preliminary hearing, call the DA and ask them to refile the charges. Depends on how long ago it happened and how long ago the charges were filed. There may be other factors. Also consider suing the neighbor civilly, if he has any assets.

Call the DA first thing Monday.

Good luck.
