Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

PA cell phone harassment law

I purchased my neiphew a cell phone for Xmas and it is listed under my name..I live in KY and he is in PA..he is a minor and always forgets his phone or lets his friends use it..in May two calls were made from the phone..obsciene calls one was 3 minutes and the next day two minutes..he swears he did not make the call..it was not taped..but the police called and said that if someone doesn't confess to this I can be charged with a harassing violation that can result in a fine from 25 to 300 dollars. This couple wrote everything down on paper that was said and my sister and her son went to the police dept to speak with them...they stated that it did not sound like him..now they are waiting to question one of his other friends..should I get an attorney??

I don't know how or why they would charge you. At this point it sounds to me as if the police want to put pressure on the kids to tell them who it was who made the calls. It never hurts to get an attorney but it may be pre-mature at this point.
