Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Pennsylvania

Paurchasing alcohol at a restuarant?

Is it legal for a restuarant to refuse to serve alcohol to a person who is 21 because they are not 25 and they are sitting at a table with people who are under 21? We were sitting at a dinner table and ordering food and i was the only one ordering a drink. The waitress said if i wanted a drink i had to either sit at the bar or away from my friends. I just want to know if this is legal.

Sure it's legal. They can refuse to serve whomever they want for whatever reason they want. Think of the restaurant like your house--your parents have to follow the rules when they serve people over 21, but then they also can simply refuse to let whomever tey want in, or refuse to serve whomever they want.
