Re: child support

You asked about collecting child support from a man other than your husband.

It is a legal presumption that a child born within a marriage is the natural offspring of the marital partners. In order to collect child support from a person other than a husband a mother would need to either obtain an admission of paternity or sue to determine paternity. In either case an agreement of support would be the conclusion.

To put it bluntly, your husband cannot dispute paternity unless another person is proven to be the father. A husband cannot simply prove that a child is not his and be done with it.

Regards,

Roger
