custody

I have primarty physical custody of my children. Their father has partial physical custody. He informed me on his visitation that he was takin the kids camping. I asked him to provide me with the campground they are staying at in case of emergency. He left with the kids without doing so. Can he legally do this? Its been 24hrs since I have had any contact with my kids or him.

Re: custody

Review your custody Order. It usually specifies that notice be given of the place where children will be if taken out of the jurisdiction or on vacation. If so and he has not told you then you could file a contempt petition. if it does not address this issue you could file a petition to to modify the terms of the current Order to deal with this issue for future situations. An attorney can help you with the issue.
