Civil suits

If a person has a lien against for a civil suit 5 years ago, and since has passed away with no heirs. What happens to the unpaid civil suit?

The executor of the estate should have paid the lien off with the assets of the state. If there were no assets and lien is not attached to any real property the lien is likely extinguished.
