Legal Question in Health Care Law in Pennsylvania

Dr billing for missed appts

you stated that it is a contractual issue once you make the appt. that the Dr agreed to see you at a given time. Is it then reasonable to state that I have an expectation to be seen at my appointed time? In otherwords, if I am seen past my scheduled appt time do I have an expectation to be given a break on the fee or to sue the Dr for wasting MY time? Seems only fair given your contract explanation.

You would actually file a lawsuit in court for wasting your time in the Doctor's office? And what is your time worth, anyway? So you waited an hour. If you are a top lawyer at a top law firm, that's about $300. If you are a bus driver, then your lawsuit is for $23. Do you think a lawyer will be interested in that case? (no).
