Legal Question in Health Care Law in Pennsylvania

Tubaligation

I was 22 when i got my tubes tied. The doctor asked me if I wanted them done while I was having a c-section. No one ever explained anything about it to me. They said it would promise no pregenies for 5 yrs. No one told me that i would never be able to have anymore children. This is not fair to me because i made a split decision that I was young and knew hardly anything about. can someone please help me.

Re: Tubaligation

The law can't reverse the effects of medical malpractice; the law can only, through compensation, fix what can be fixed, help what can be helped, and attempt to make up for the rest.

What you described sounds like it could be medical malpractice, although it may be outside the two-year window for filing a suit (since you describe it as being in the past).

You may nonetheless wish to speak with a medical malpractice attorney. My firm handles hundreds of such cases every year, and would be happy to review your case, or you could find attorneys through other means such as this website or the Pennsylvania Bar Association. If you do choose to talk with an attorney, do so soon.
