Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

I left my new employer after 70 days of employment due to issues that could be tracked in corporate e-mails sent to my corporate e-mail address. I forwarded some of the e-mails to my personal e-mail account the day of but prior to my resignation, just in case i needed them as proof if needed for unemployment claims. Since then these forwarded e-mails have mysteriously disappeared from my private e-mail inbox. The emails contained no company secrets at all, simply tones from the specific people in the company that I took as demeaning and unnecessary to me personally. Was i wrong to forward them to myself? Can I demand the company produce the e-mails and how would I go about doing that?

Review your notice of hearing from unemployment compensation, if your matter goes that far. It tells you how you can request the referee issue a subpoena. If you quit your employment due to "improper tone," you will likely have a difficult time establishing your entitlement to UC benefits.
