Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

To start out I was wondering about I got fired at work today for using a gift card I found at work I ment to turn it in but forgot about it as I got called out to the floor to help customers so I put it in my pocket and forgot I put it in as I got very busy and when I left for the day I forgot to turn it in andtook it home was going to turn it in the next time I worked but forgot. About it. I found it a few days later I had put it in my jewery box I had 2 in there so I grabbed the wrong one and used it not realizing it till they fired my do I have a case or not? It was just an honest mistake I made

That being said, Pennsylvania is a jurisdiction that applies the employment �at-will� policy. This means that an employee can terminate his/her employment for any reason or no reason at all. However, it also means that an employer can terminate an employee�s employment for any reason or for no reason at all. In your situation, unless you have a contract stating otherwise or have provided your employer with some form of additional hardship in accepting your employment, than you are employed at will.
