Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

suspended from work

today i was suspended from work because they said they had 3 complaints on me for being rude. one a lady verbaly attact me and called me every name in the book, for something that was HER fault & no fault of my own & the others i do not remember !they had to happen months ago if ever. now , my boss told me 3 day's off without pay, and wait for his phone call & while i was at home , don't get into any trouble & don't do anything. what is up with this ? if they want to terminate ,do it. don't play games. i do have a very high standing with this company with a very good record. so, why is this being done to me ? they are trying to get rid of employees because the economey is so bad. can they terminate me because of this ? I KNOW ABOUT THE AT WILL LAW

Re: suspended from work

The at-will Doctrine allows you to be fired. What you need is a law that allows you ro recover should you be terminated. The fact that you have a progressive discipline structure may be of some value in alleging a breach of contract implied-in-fact or even implied-in-law. Better y et would be breach of a federal employment statute.

Yours may be an age discrimination case ready to ripen. Consult with counsel in private to explore available remedies. If you would like a referral to Pittsburgh attorneys let me know.

Good Luck.
