Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

My Wife and I have rented one side of a duplex for 2 1/2 years and just renewed a 1-year lease 4 weeks ago. Since this time the landlord has decided to sell the property to a party who plans to live on our side of the property. The landlord told this party the lease is transferable and that party has even told us they understand it's transferable.

Our lease doesn't have any language saying the landlord can break the lease without cause. We aren't in violation of any part of the lease and have paid rent on time for the entire time we've lived there. In the state of Pennsylvania can we be evicted just because the new landlord wishes to live in the apartment we reside in?

Here's a new flash a lease on a property is like a mortgage or an easement. The buyer takes the property and the lease. He';ll try to evict you but if you pay the rent on time and aren't in any violation of the lease terms he has no grounds to do so.

Now if he's willing to buy you out that's allowed but you can hold out for the deal that suit YOU!
