Re: property inherited

You asked about property inherited during a marriage.

Your question was very unclear. Generally inherited property is excluded from the marital estate unless there was a substantial contribution by the marital partners as to time, effort or money in the maintenance or rehabilitation of the property.

So, unless the a substantial amount of marital assets were used in the inherited property then it will likely be substantially safe in any pending divorce.

It is almost mandatory that you have attorney work on a divorce where there are assets that may become a subject of dispute.

Regards,

Roger
