Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

I am a tenant that lives in a property that belongs to the mortgage holders who owns the property and after collected my rent for a year $1250.00 so that totals out to be $15,00.00 I didn't even add in the $5,000.00 I gave him as a down payment to move in. The city sent me a letter stating that they sold it December 2nd is when they sold the house for $11,200.00.I spent more than that in just rent alone! So what should be my next step?

Well, you have a couple of options. First, you can sue your landlord for fraud since he collected rent but did not own the property. Second, you can report your case to the District Attorney's office for theft. Third, you can try to negotiate with the current owner. Perhaps this person or entity will continue with your lease. You may have some other options that depend on whether the sale was for unpaid taxes or mortgage. You certainly have some additional options because the seller failed to notify you about the pending sale. Call me. I am in Mount Airy also and I can help you.
