Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

My Father's Will

My Father just died a couple of days ago in PA. I need to find out if my Father had a Will and who is executor. I have been told by my Mother that she was informed (by my Father) that he had a Will made. But he is re-married and his Wife is very uncooperative and would never tell us anything about a Will. How do I go about finding whether he has a Will or not?

Re: My Father's Will

This is a good question, first you may want to ask some of his close friends if they knew where he kept it. If he had an attorney they may have a copy as well. If these do not help and you cannot obtain a copy than the court will assume he died intestate. As an heir you will automatically receive part of his estate even without a will however you will need to make sure you determine who is going to probate his estate and protect your interests.

If you have further questions you can call my office for a no cost initial consultation.
