Justice of the Peace questions

Is a District Justice and a Justice of the Peace the same thing? Could either person perform a marriage ceremony? If either one did, how would he sign the marriage certificate? I am a Fraktur folk artist and am comissioned to make Marriage and Birth certificates in the style of the Pennsylvania Dutch. It is a decorative Family heirloom when finished. This is the first one ordered that a JP married the couple.
