While hurt and covered under workers comp. can the employer termate you after 12 months?

It depends on whether or not the reason for the termination violates your union contract (if any) or any of several federal and state laws such as ADA, disability discrimination, or retaliation for exercising your rights under the PA Workers' Comp. Act as an exception to employee at will-wrongful discharge exception.
