buddy signing attendance/time-in sheets

what law/legal principle is involved

when i sign in for another person in an

attendance/time in sheet? I write his/

her name and copy her signature. I am

a medical intern and i am working in a

private hospital. thanks

Worst come to worst you can be cahrged for falsification under Art. 171 paragraphs 1 and 2 in relation to Art. 172 of the Revised Penal Code by Counterfeiting or imitating any handwriting, signature or rubric or Causing it to appear that persons have participated in any act or proceeding when they did not in fact so participate.Moreover, this can be a ground for your administrative disciplinary action either for violation of the professional ethics among doctors and for termination of your intership in the hospital. However, all those things will happen only if you are proven guilty of the said acts and omissions.

Thus, I suggest that you engage a counsel of your own choice because your career is at stake for this single instance of mistake.
