( Free Question ) I recieved a e-mail from my homeowners assoiation that I had 2 weeks to remove a pine tree on my property. My question is a e-mail a legal document.

"Legal document" is a term laypeople use as if it means something. It doesn't.

Your homeowners' association bylaws should say what type of notice the association has to give you. If it just says "written notice", then the email is probably adequate. If it says "notice affixed to the front door", then it isn't. There are any number of ways the requirement might be phrased; without knowing what it says, there is no way to answer your question.
