grand larceny

i want to know if i do not testify against someone who admitted to stealing from my home ...over 3,000 dollars worth: would there be any other way for them to be prosecuted

I have no idea. I would need to know all about the case and what evidence there is or is not. If I understand your question, your asking if they can prosecute this person on evidence other than your testimony. You said that they admited to it. But you didn't say who they admited it to. Did they admit it to the police? Is there finger prints, did they catch them with anything that was taken from the home? Are there other witnesses? Is there other defendants? I really can't answer your question without more information.
