Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

What are my rights ?

I was working for someone in a legitimate business and later found out she had a side business going of selling marijuana. She was arrested and charged with trafficking. They found in their search 22grams of marijuana. I was never charged with anything and gave a statement to SLED. I was told I had to go before the Grand Jury but I have not been notified of the time. This all happened in January 2002. How long do they have to have me go before the Grand Jury? Can they charge me for knowing about what she was doing and not reporting it?

Re: What are my rights ?

Usually the Grand Jury will happen withing six months of the arrest. It doesn't sound like you have to worry about knowing about what she was doing. It appears that they are more interested in having you testify agaisnt her.
