Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

victims rights

my daughter was a victim of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. there is a warrant for the offenders arrest but he has not been caught. they shared an apartment and both names were on the lease. he did some minimal damage to the apt.

they had just renewed a lease. landlord is saying she has to fix it and continue the leaseor find a new renter for the apartment. she is an innocent victim who does not even want to return to the residence in question due to fear he will be there and so on. does she have any rights to break the lease or not fix the damage he did. this is quite traumatic for her.
