You do not need a lawyer to take her to court but your chances of getting what you want increase if you have an attorney.

You can take her to Court yourself, but it is generally unwise to do so unless you know what to file, where to file it, and how to properly pursue the case. If you don't, then you may hurt your chances of prevailing on what you claim is a strong case.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
