the child support I receive I feel is not enough, do I have to hire a lawyer to have it reevaluated? I only get 128.00 a month and his medication is 132.00 with that SOMETIMES the father will pay half but I pay for all the schooling supplies, field trips, and clothes!! I really can't afford a lawyer so what can I do?

You can file an action for a recalculation yourself, or you can seek assistance from DSS Child Support Enforcement and/or South Carolina Legal Services. Typically, the father's portion of the uncovered medical expenses are paid IN ADDITION to the child support. Again, while you can file this yourself, you will most likely benefit from having an attorney assist you with this matter.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.SpartanburgLawyers.com). I wish you the best of luck.
