Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

I reside in Texas and my child resides in South Carolina with her mother and I want to establish a child custody order of visitation as she refuses to let me see her. Do I need to retain a lawyer in her state and file with the courts in her state?

Yes, retain an attorney here in South Carolina to assist you in establishing a visitation agreement. Good luck.

If the mother is refusing you visitation, then your best option is to retain an experienced family law attorney and seek Court involvement to have a visitation schedule ordered.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
