Legal Question in Civil Litigation in South Carolina

2 different officers at 2 different times write 1 ticket

Recently, I was given a noise violation for 4 people outside smoking a cigarrete. Supposedly, an officer came at 12:13 am sunday, issued no ticket and nobody saw him.

Monday morning at 9:30, a different officer issues a noise violaton ticket for the incident on saturday night. is this legal to have an officer issue a ticket 2 days after the apparent noise violation even though he was not there to report it.

An officer can write a ticket two days later based upon complaints by a third party. However, that doesn't necessarily will be found guilty. Please consult with an attorney before proceeding with this. Robert Johnston
