If you a in a class action lawsuit, is there a cap on what percent a lawyer gets from your share?

Yes there is. There is a maximum amount that a lawyer is allowed to receive for his/her share of a settlement. However, I cannot tell you exactly what it is, since it depends on several things and every case is different and its decided on a case by case basis. Often these result in court approval.
