Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

slip & fall

My wife slipped on some lotion in a large department store and suffered a severe sprain to her knee. She had to wear a knee brace and use a cane for more that 3 months. Now the store wants to settle for almost nothing. We cannot find an attorney to take the case no one will call us back. They only want to pay her what she paid out of pocked and a few hundred dollars ($400.00) for pain and suffering. Please advise. They admitted liability and she also has an incident report.

Please advise because time is running out.

Re: slip & fall

Unfortunatley, a lot of lawyers are leary of slip and fall cases. If the insurance company is not offering a fair amount and, "time is running out," then it is imperitive that you have an immediate meaningful discussion with an attorney on how to proceed. It would be in your best interest to keep trying to contact an attorney, dispite the discouraging results so far.
