Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina

Arrested for disobedience to a traffic officer

I was arrested, handcuffed, taken to a county jail and fingerprinted, etc., as well as having my car impounded at my home airport for arguing with an airport security officer.

The charge identified on my ticket was disobedience to a traffic officer.

Do I have a criminal record, and if so, how can I have this incident expunged?

Being "arrested, handcuffed, taken to jail, fingerprinted, ect.," is all part of the arrest process. You never stated what happen after that. Therefore, I don't know if you were ever convicted or not, nor whether the charge is still pending. What you have after being arrested is an "arrest record." Which is different from a conviction record. As far as it being expunged, not all criminal charges can be expunged. I would have to know more about the particular charge, and most importantly the code section number of the charge. Robert Johnston 843-828-1137 [email protected]
