Legal Question in Employment Law in South Dakota

Harrassment during pregnancy

Is it legal for an employer/boss to make degrading comments about an employee's weight in front of other employees during her pregnancy and then when confronted with the problem, make it difficult for her to remain employed there? Are there laws that protect against this?

Yes, there are Federal Laws to protect women who are pregnant from adverse employment actions based soley on the fact that they are pregnant.
