Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Tennessee

Slander

I am a parent. Would I have a legitimate slander case if another parent(s) were spreading false rumors about my child? I have told this one specific trouble making parent to stop spreading false rumors regarding my child but she has not stopped. Is there anything I can do to stop the negativity she is spreading about my child. Thanks.

Re: Slander

Yes, you can ask the court that granted you a divorce or child custody to issue an order barring both parents from speaking negatively about the other parent or the child. I could draft such a motion for you for $100.
