dr billthen to garnishment?

i had an epidural for my back-i have been sending my dr $25.00 each month on the bill owed- now i have recieved a call from an agency saying theyare going to garnish my check- the dr has been cashing my checks every month-where do i stand.i thought since they-dr-had been taking my checks i was ok-please help.

Without going into the specifics of the situation (since we do not know all facts), generally a partial payment will not relieve you of responsibility for the entire debt. If the creditor has not expressly agreed to accept only partial payments, they are generally not required to do so.
