Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Concernd parent worried about my child.

My wife and i were married for one month before she broke up my family and moved in with another man.She wont let me see my son.She and her new boyfriend are heavy into drugs and are not takin care of my son properly.she leaves my son with a babysitter for days and weeks at a time and sometimes pays them in drugs.I was told he swallowed some drugs he found in the house .Im worried for him,but the thing is my name is not on his birth record and i cant afford to get one.Can you help me?

You need to contact an attorney immediatly. If you cannot afford one, you need to contact the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the police department to have your child removed from that situation immediatly. If what you are saying is true, there is a very strong argument that the child child is being neglected, if not abused. You should call local authorities such as the department of children services and the police. Also, consider filing a dependency and neglect petition in the juvenile court and seeking an order of protective custody. You do not have to be a legal parent to seek such an order.
