Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

exhusband in contempt

My exhusband took several thousand dollars from me. The court judged he pay me this money back. I received only three checks. He found out I had remarried and stopped paying me. Should I go to the judge who placed the judgement since I can't afford another lawyer?

Re: exhusband in contempt

You can't simply write the judge or walk up to the judge in the hall or even just go to the courtroom to ask that the judge do something. You need to file a Petition for Contempt. Generally you will need an attorney to do that, though there is no requirement you use an attorney if you know how to do things.
