Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

my son

my husband and i have been apart for 2 1/2 years he lives in tn. where we lived. i moved to virginia 2 1/2 years ago. i was worndering if the child support/ custudy case be brought back to va. he still has not gave me a clean drug test so he don't see his kid don't call but ever 2 mo. but i was told that because it was field in tn, if i took him back to court i would have to go to tn. is that true and why.

Yes, that is true, but you could also have the case transferred to Virginia if you're now a legal resident of the Commonwealth.
