Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Tennessee

Promissory Note after the fact

I received a letter from an attorney of an ex-boyfriend that states I will be sued if I do not sign a promissory note for funds he gave me. At the time there was no agreement that a note would be signed for repayment. It has been more than a year and we have split up as well. Only now 5 months after the split I received a letter from an attorney stating this.

Re: Promissory Note after the fact

You should see an attorney in person if you believe the threat of a lawsuit is genuine. You should not sign anything without having an attorney review it.
