damages

my son pays 465 a month in rent his apartment was flooding by pipes bursting everything damaged. Mildew is setting up in the apartment and the apartment manager is saying that he will have rug cleaned. Mildew will make a person ill. Is he not responsible for the belongings that were lostt and should the carpet be taken up and replaced?

The owner of the building is responsible for all of the damage as long as your son did nothing to cause the damage such as keeping the heat at such a low temperature to cause the pipes to burst.

If the owner does not want to pay then he should hire an attorney to help negotiate the claim.
