Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

accident with uninsured driver

I had an accident and the other driver hit my car on the driver's side. We both had green light, but the other driver was making left hand turn and crashed into my car. I sought medical treatment 2 days later and I am in great pain still. The driver that hit me was uninsured and also did not have an lisense. The other driver recieved several citations.

My understanding is that if I sue for damages, I actually end up suing my own insurance company. I have many questions about this and concerns as well. Will my insurance company drop me and how hard will it be to get insurance in the future?

Re: accident with uninsured driver

Do not hesitate to take advantage of the uninsured motorist provision in your insurance policy. That is what it is there for. You have paid good money for these benefits. Good luck. Marc Reisman 527-9600
