Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

Criminal Conversation

I just read a 2004 post regarding the tort of alienation of affection and how it was abolished in Tennessee. But what about criminal conversation? I am presently seeking an attorney, preferably in Chattanooga, to represent me in filing such a suit against ''the other woman''. What makes it even worse is that in my case, she was my best friend of over 11 years!

Re: Criminal Conversation

Tennessee statute 39-13-508 provides in part: " a) On or after January 1, 1991, no cause of action shall be maintained that is based upon the common law torts of seduction or criminal conversation, and such torts are hereby abolished." I hope this answers your question. Please contact an attorney to follow up with any questions you may have about this.
