Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

defendant-auto accident

i am being sued for an auto accident, Dec. 14, 2006-according to the summons I was negligent, reckless with malice. I may have been bumped by a semi but I can't prove it, I was injured and don't really remember what all happened, no do I know if anyone else was injured, the paramedics told me no one else was injured, but I lost control of vehicle it hit a culbert and flipped backwards, they told me i hit a truck and damaged the whole drivers side, wrecker driver told me later that said truck could be repaired that only the panels were damaged??? according to the police report only one person was injured besides myself. I still don;t know the whole of the accident but I did and do have insurance, i did not get to speak to the trooper but I did not get any tickets or citations, and I was no speeding I was going the speed limit of 70 according to the accident report. so what do I do? this guy wants over a million dollars?

You should inform your insurance company immediately if you have not done so already. The insurance company will provide you a defense. Not knowing how much coverage you have, I can not tell you wheter you need private counsel as well, but it would not hurt to consult with your own lawyer too. Good luck.
