Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

Statute of Limitations

I had a signed lease with someone in Bradley Co. TN. I owned the home and they were the renters. The term of the lease was for 12 months (sept 98 - aug.99). They only paid for 5 months, were always late and one check bounced. When I started pressuring them to pay up, they moved out. I want to take them to small claims court (in TN it's general sessions court). What is the statute of limitations on bring such a case to court? I had read that most states allow 4 years, but I can't find out if TN is one of them. Thank you.

Re: Statute of Limitations

I am afraid that that is a Tennessee question, as that state's laws regarding the statute of limitations would apply. Ask the question to a lawyer out there.
