fired by company because of severe injury

i was severly injured on the job on 9-16-99.My supervisor would not let me go get any help for 7 hours.(a stack of doors fell on me from behind). i have had several tests ran including an two emgs,and have recently been diagnosed with fibromialgia.I have carpal tunnell syndrome,a stretched brachial plexus,pelvic assementry,whiplash,and a slipped disc.Aspecialist came to my treating doctor's office to give me my mmi,but he said i was not ready yet.3 weeks after that, i recieved aletter in the mail stating i had been fired.is this legal?please e-mail me with any answers.

I am not familiar with Texas law but this sounds like wrongful termination. I would contact your local county bar association and ask for a referral to a lawyer who handles workman's comp and wrongful termination cases. Most lawyers offer free consultations so you should be able to get some answers. Good luck.
