Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Does a defendant have the right to ask questions about the radar system (maint. records)?
The Prosecutor continually objected to any questions regarding the Officer's training, certifications, operational knowledge, previous or current false reading(s) or any known issues, faults or maintenance records regarding radar equipment utilized to issue a citation since, no radar expert(s) were to be called to testify or be placed on the witness stand..
Subsequently, the Judge agreed thus, would NOT allow any questions regarding such.
I'd like to know if any rights were violated by not allowing the opportunity to cross examine/ ask question(s) and confront/ face the accuser?

It sounds to me as if those questions should have been allowed (I've asked them myself in traffic ticket trials). Perhaps the Judge was just being a jerk.
Consider filing an appeal. You might even go ask the clerk at the municipal court how to do it.
