Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
False Arrest
The police stopped my husband with my 2 children in the car ages 12,11, pulled guns (5 cars with 2 officers in each car) handcuffed my kids and husband and took them to the county jail,each in a different cop car and strip searched both my kids and impounded our car. After 2 hours put my kids in a cop car and took them to my parents house and just dropped them off and later released my husband and we had to pay 162.00 to get our car out of impound, they told my husband it was a mistake. Is this legal?? can they do that to children??

This seems like an extreme reaction by the police authorities. I would visit with an atrorney and explore all aspects of this situation to see if there is any legal recourse available.
