Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

i have an active judgement on a past consumer loan by a collection firm. it has been since 2009 and we thought that it was taken care of and miss understood the judgment summary. we were contacted by another collection lawyer yesterday trying to serve court papers on us. can we be sued for the same debt that we have an active judgments against us for. we don't have the min. of assets it would take for them to come after our assets and i am currently unemployed living on borrowed money from friends and family. currently looking for work but not been successful. can the file a suit against me for a debt that has an active judgment on it?
