Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Is Credit Repair Legal

I have bad credit, from collections and late payment... no bankruptcies. I am trying to fix my credit, and almost everything is cleared. Besides just waiting 7 years, is there anything else I can do to help make my credit better. Is credit repair, such as services offered by Lexington Law Firm, another alternative? Is it legal? Or should I just wait 7 years before I can buy a house or another car? thanks for the help.

Re: Is Credit Repair Legal

I have no knowledge of Lexington Law Firm or how they can 'repair' credit. Insofar as I know, an explanation of why the black mark on credit, and getting current on all outstanding accounts will do more to repair your credit than any legal actions that could be taken.

A bad credit report will remain on your credit history for seven years. As will improving your credit history.
